Easter Fun
We had a great Easter this year. I put together a slide show with a bunch of our pictures of the fun things we did.
We colored eggs a few days before Easter. Chloe had so much fun. I hid the eggs after she went to bed and when she woke up the next morning she was really upset they were gone. I told her the Easter Bunny came to get the eggs when she was sleeping, but that he would bring them back. She thought that was pretty cool. Every night Chloe would ask if the Easter Bunny would come tomorrow??
The day before Easter, I broke down and gave Chloe the princess crown set I got for her basket. I know... bad Kellie! But I have a really hard time waiting and I couldn't handle the secrecy any longer. I had to give in and give her something. It was either that or die (okay, maybe I'm being a little dramatic). Needless to say she loved the crown and the jewels. She called them "magic" and kept going into the bathroom to admire herself in the mirror. It was so funny. She would tilt her head to the side and hold up her hand so she could see her ring. And then she would sigh and say, "mommy, I'm so magic." I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty cute.
Of course, on Easter morning we were running late. I scrambled to get us up for church and we only had a few minutes for Chloe to admire her basket before we were off. When we got home, we had a little time before we took off for Madera to spend some time with the KLOSTERS and CO.! It was a blast. Chloe got to color more eggs and then she got to participate in a big egg hunt. More goods and sugar for consumption. After the hunt, the kids proceeded to cause mayham and destruction. The jumped on the tramp and ran around like hooligans. You know... they did kid stuff.
It was a great day. We spent a lot of time rushing, and aside from our time at church, we really didn't spend much time pondering the real meaning of Easter. So... we took some time talking about our Savior before bedtime and why we celebrate Easter. I just want to say how grateful I am to my Savior, Jesus Christ, for his Atonement for us. I am so grateful for the sacrifices he willingly made so that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. I am ABSOLUTELY the last person on earth to preach to another, (I have enough work just keeping myself from eternal damnation) but I truly, truly love the gospel. I don't always do what I know I should, but I'm so greatful for my blessings and so grateful for my Savior. I'm also grateful for my family. Everything we did over Easter was family oriented and it was awesome to spend time together.
