Kids Say the Darndest Things!!

I know someday I am going to regret the fact that Chloe can speak, but for now, she usually just has me rolling on the floor with her words of wisdom and insights into daily life. She's had more than usual lately, so I've decided to share of few of them in the hopes that your life will be richer and more meaningful (or just to give you a good laugh):

1. On the way home from church today we listened to the primary songs that will be in this year's program. One of the songs was Follow the Prophet. After the song got done, Chloe said, "That song was weird... (pause for effect) and fun." She then went on to say solemnly, "I did not see that coming."

2. Chloe had a bump on her chin and she ran in to show it to me and yelled, "Mommy, daddy gave me a zit when he kissed me with his big yucks."

3. I've been informed that if you eat a jelly bean you will turn into a beetle.

4. Instead of saying, "Don't let the bedbugs bite," Chloe says, "Don't let the bed bugs eat you."

5. When calling to her teacher to tell him that Chloe would be missing class because she was sick, Chloe kept chanting in the background (loud enough for him to hear and laugh), "Mommy, I'm all better now." I've decided that next time I lie, I better make sure she's not around.

6. Chloe said an unmentionable four letter word. I told her that if she said it again, I would have to wash her mouth out with soap. Chloe burst out into tears and said, "If you make me eat soap, I will be dead and you will have to drink all of my chocolate milk."

7. And my personal favorite... Chloe is obsessed with boobs. She wants 'em and she can't wait to get 'em. After I put on my bra one day, Chloe got really big eyes and said very seriously, "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to have big boobies just like you."
